“Preparing today's youth for tomorrow's challenges by giving youth the power to invent new possibilities, the courage to face challenges, and the freedom to create, grow, and be expressive in a Christian manner.”

The Purpose

Services of Hope, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to the mission of providing structure and organization for at-risk youth and families in diminishing communities. We provide programs that enable youth and their families to gain confidence, knowledge, and skills that will empower them to rise above the economic and social pressures that plague our society.

The History

Services of Hope, Inc. (SOH) was founded in 2004 by former employees of Voice of Hope. A faith based organization, SOH was founded on principles of self-help, spiritual enrichment, and urban renewal. SOH is a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt agency. It began as a prime contractor for the Dallas County Juvenile Justice Department, working with at-risk and adjudicated youth in an after-school setting. Today, SOH now offers programs for youth ages 10-17.

Our Logo

Our logo uses triangles and arrows juxtaposed with a cross to represent the motivation of Services of Hope: Services, which are represented by triangles, that point recipients to Christ—the ultimate source of HOPE.

Target Communities

The target communities consist of a melting pot of new immigrant families and those who have lived in the area for several generations. They live in some of the poorest communities in the nation. On average, 45% of residents live in poverty, 88% earning less than $29,000 per year, and 67% of adults lack a high school diploma. There is a high rate of drug abuse, early sexual activity, teen pregnancy, and gangs.

Services of Hope's young participants are less likely to return to drug abuse activity, criminal activity, gangs, and engage in early sexual activity. They are three times more likely to pass the TAKS test, to stay in school, and to experience academic and personal success.

Financial Information

Services of Hope Entities, Inc. is a 501 (c) non-profit organization committed to financial transparency and accountability. SOH form 990s are filed and outside audits are conducted annually.
