Please read about the two summer
camp programs we run:
Summer Day Camps
and Camp Renaissance
Summer Day Camps
Services
of Hope is partnering with Central Dallas Ministries and AmeriCorps
to assist in hosting 8 summer day camps across the DFW metroplex.
The
desire of Services of Hope is to assist each site with their
programming, scheduling, food service, training and staffing.
We are able to offer assistance through various programs and
resources in and around the Dallas area. Through these programs,
we are able to build back into each program and community through
AmeriCorps funding as well as the food program with Central
Dallas Ministries.
Services
of Hope is working with each camp site to provide staffing through
an AmeriCorps grant we have secured from Central Dallas Ministries.
This grant provides us with college aged staff members at each
of our sites, and in turn we are able to offer both a salary
and a tuition stipend for the following fall semester.
We
are also able to provide food service through summer food and
reading program where each child’s meal is subsidized
through Central Dallas Ministries. This program not only provides
a meal and snack daily, but offers books for each student at
the end of the program.
